Microsoft allegedly working on its second generation Surface tablets

Microsoft is rumored to launch its next generation Surface tablets at its Build Developer Conference, which will kick start on June 26.

According to the upstream supply chain sources, the company already has about 1-1.5 million Intel based units in its inventory and the components are said to be supplied from the end of 2012.

Microsoft Surface 2 is rumored to feature a 7-inch or a 9-inch display and is expected to complete against the likes of the Apple iPad and the Android establishment.

The Redmond giant is currently expanding the market reach of the Surface tablets and the slate is now available in Malaysia as well. The Surface RT will soon hit the stores in Mexico and will be up for grabs in Korea and Thailand, starting from June.
