Apart from working on a bunch of new smartphones for all market segments the Korean Samsung apparently prepares a new generation of the not so popular phablet devices – hybrids between smartphones and tablets.
Samsung will soon release a new line under the trade name of Galaxy Mega. At first there will be two models only – the GT-I9152 with a 5.8-inch display and the GT-I9200 with a 6.3-inch display. The rest of the hardware is unknown but the new phablets will likely be powered by Samsung’s eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor or by chips from Qualcomm.
The Galaxy Mega model with the 5.8-inch display will be white and will arrive in late May while the Galaxy Mega phablet with the larger 6.3-inch display will come in black and white and will be released in late June 2013.
